Obituary for Perry Wayne Horne

Perry Wayne Horne was born November 4, 1990, to Terri Horne and Michael Williams.
Poochie Joe, his nickname given by his family, was baptized at five years old by Pastor Rueben L. Oliver Sr at St Joe Baptist Church of Rhymes, LA.

From an early age, he was known to be very playful. He loved laughing and making others laugh. He was passionate and very protective of his family and friends.

Perry attended Lincoln Elementary, Carroll Junior High, and Neville and Carroll High School.
He loved basketball his senior year (2010), resulted in the CHS basketball team being state runner-ups.

He chose to work after school. He worked in retail at Walmart with his cousin Eddie and also worked at Coca-Cola. He spent the last few years passionately pursuing his rap career under the stage name “Pistol P’.

Approximately ten years ago, he stepped up to raise his nephew, Jawon. He affectionately referred to him as Jr and considered him his son.

His role exceeded that of an uncle for his nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother Ida Walker, his maternal grandfather William Horne, Sr, and his paternal grandfather Jimmy Williams as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Terri Horne-Roberson, and father, Michael Williams, and maternal grandmother, Rosie Horne. His “son”: Jawon Hines. He has three sisters:
Tiana Pratt (Antonio), Temekia Holmes, and Chelsea Johnson. 2 Brothers: Antonio Holmes and Rodriquez Holmes. Nephews: Jaimaryon Holmes, Antonio Holmes, Nikosi Sumler, and Tyson Holmes. Nieces: Triniti Pratt, Antoinette Singleton, and Lexi Millien. His special aunt – Paula Horne, and Aunts Sharon Hewitt and Dianne McFarland. Uncles: Paul Horne, William Home (Donna)-Houston, TX, Christopher Horne (Terri)-Jacksonville, FL, Jimmy Bethley, Jackie Walker, Trandy Barnes. His Special Friend: Nicholette “Nicki’ Thompson; his Best Friend: Antwone “Twanie” Thomas, his mentors: Pastor Bobby Joe Douglas and Pastor Robert Gaines; his godmothers: Tina Harris and Minister Yvonne Jefferson; and a host of great aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
