A 17-year-old was booked into the Ouachita Correctional Center on Sunday afternoon following a physical altercation with her father over a cell phone.
Tranique Mychael Young, born July 7, 2009, was arrested on Sunday, August 16, 2026, at approximately 2:49 p.m. by Deputy Joshua Wahlder and Corporal R. Evans of the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office.
According to the probable cause affidavit, deputies were dispatched to a residence in reference to a domestic battery complaint.
Upon arrival, officers made contact with the victim, Aberon Young, who reported that a verbal altercation with his daughter escalated into a physical fight over a cell phone.
The victim stated that Young bit him on the left arm and struck him in the face multiple times with closed fists. Officers documented visible teeth marks on the victim’s left arm, dried blood on his bottom lip, and a small laceration along his upper gum line.
When interviewed by deputies, Young was advised of her Miranda rights and stated she understood them. She alleged that her father was the primary aggressor, though she admitted to biting and striking him during the incident. Deputies noted no physical marks or injuries on Young.
Young was taken into custody without further incident, transported to OCC, and booked on the following charge:
