She pushed her, punched her in the face, put herin a choke hold andpulled her hair

A 40-year-old woman was arrested Tuesday night following an alleged domestic altercation.

According to an affidavit of probable cause from the Monroe Police Department, Officer Sydney Pettis arrested Andrea Monique McClinton at approximately 8:37 p.m. on August 18, 2026.

Upon arrival, Officer Pettis made contact with a crying victim who stated that McClinton had put her hands on her. The victim reported that McClinton pushed her, punched her on the left side of her face with a closed fist, placed her in a rear chokehold, and pulled her hair. Officer Pettis documented a small red laceration on the left side of the victim’s neck.

After being advised of her Miranda rights, McClinton admitted to placing the victim in a chokehold and pushing her, claiming she did so “only to calm the victim down”.

McClinton was handcuffed and transported to the Ouachita Correctional Center (OCC) for booking.

She faces the following charge:
