The Lighthouse Church lights up the season with funding to local organizations

Monroe, LA- The Lighthouse Church, led by Bishop Alvin B. Walker, continued its long-standing commitment to serving the community by providing financial donations to several nonprofit organizations across Northeast Louisiana. This holiday season, the church contributed $1,000 each to three impactful groups dedicated to supporting children and families: Thomas Jefferson Elementary School, The Food Bank of Northeast Louisiana, and The Children’s Coalition of NELA. Each organization plays a vital role in meeting essential needs—from education and food security to child development and family services, making them pillars of support within the region.

For several years, the Lighthouse Church congregation has participated in the 1000-Fold Blessing Program, an initiative that encourages members to give sacrificially with the understanding that part of the funds raised will be reinvested back into the community. Through this program, the church has consistently extended assistance to organizations that demonstrate measurable and meaningful impact.
