West Monroe, LA – Drake Summerhill, an incoming Sophomore student at West Monroe High School, was selected for the High School Honors Performance Series at the Royal Festival Hall in London. Drake performed with the Honors Choir in June. Participation in the Honors Ensembles is limited to the highest-rated young performers from across the world.
Drake auditioned for the Honors Performance Series and was accepted after a review by the Honors Selection Board. Acceptance to the elite group is a direct result of the talent, dedication, and achievements demonstrated in their application and audition recording. He was one of 54 vocalists worldwide that was invited to perform.
Drake has studied music for 4+ years and is a member of the West Monroe High School Choir. Drake has also performed at District, State and Regional levels, as well as preforming with this elite group in February at Carnegie Hall in New York.
Drake joined other performers from across the World for this special performance at the Royal Festival Hall at Southbank Centre, home of the London Philharmonic Orchestra. The finalists came together in London where they had the opportunity to learn from world-renowned conductors, work with other performers, and sightsee in London. While in London he was able to visit the Buckingham Palace and Trafalgar Square, as well as attend a West End Show and Cruise on the River Thames. The Honors Performance took place June 23rd, 2026 and was open to the public.

The Honors Performance Series offers exciting and challenging performance opportunities tailored for dedicated young musicians, ages 11-18.
