Voting to determine distribution of $20,000 in funding is open now
Baton Rouge, La. – Voting is open for LWCC’s 2025 Holiday Giving Program, a creative philanthropic initiative that strengthens communities and celebrates organizations helping Louisiana thrive. Now through Friday, December 19, Louisianans are encouraged to cast their vote and help determine how this year’s gift of $20,000 will be shared among three remarkable nonprofit finalists.
The Holiday Giving Program is an annual tradition that brings LWCC, over 1500 Louisiana insurance agents, and communities across the state together in the spirit of giving. Each year, LWCC agent partners nominate Louisiana-based nonprofits that create meaningful impact through service, support and innovation. This year saw a record number of nominations, underscoring the dedication of people and organizations who are committed to building a stronger Louisiana.
The 2025 finalists are Child Advocacy Services of Hammond, St. Vincent de Paul of Baton Rouge and Team Fleur De Que of New Orleans. Each finalist is improving lives and addressing critical needs in unique and powerful ways, and your vote will help determine how the award funding is distributed.
“This program represents the best of the insurance industry and brings people together in a way that truly reflects the spirit of LWCC’s Louisiana Loyal mantra,” said Seth Irby, LWCC SVP, Chief Strategy Officer. “Our agent partners recognize the incredible work these nonprofits are doing, and now the public can help amplify that impact. Together, we can bring holiday spirit to deserving organizations who are focused on helping Louisiana thrive.”

Last year, nearly 2,500 public votes determined the distribution of funds to the 2024 finalist nonprofits: Empower 225, Louisiana Organ Procurement Agency (LOPA) and Providence House. These organizations used their funding to create tributes honoring organ donors, provide stability and essential services to families experiencing homelessness, and support Baton Rouge youth transitioning out of foster care.
“The votes received from LWCC’s agent partners and the community are a testament to the selflessness of each and every hero who has made the decision to become a donor and save the lives of others. This generous gift allowed LOPA to continue our core purpose of Making Life Happen through community education and family support initiatives,” said Brett Gordon, President and CEO of LOPA.
This year’s finalists continue that legacy. Each is committed to creating positive change, supporting vulnerable populations, and strengthening the fabric of Louisiana communities. With the help of public participation, they can amplify their impact even further.
