United Way of Northeast Louisiana Tornado Relief Fund established

Monroe, La — United Way of Northeast Louisiana has established the UWNELA Tornado Relief Fund to accept donations to support response and recovery efforts related to the April 12, 2020 NELA tornado.

As our community faces the devastation of the April 12 tornado in the midst of the existing COVID-19 crisis, community support is needed now more than ever.

“This United Way NELA Tornado Relief Fund will be made possible through the generous contributions of individuals and corporations over and above the vital dollars that are already being given,” said Blake Wheelis, Chair of the United Way NELA Board of Directors.

All funds received will be used for tornado response efforts in Northeast Louisiana. No portion of contributions will be used for United Way of Northeast Louisiana overhead or administration.

All donations are tax deductible.

This UWNELA Tornado Relief Fund will be used to support immediate relief efforts and Long-Term Recovery that will enable people to return to their homes.
