Too grateful to be hateful

By Rusty Potter

Thanksgiving is more than a meal; it’s a mindset. It’s a time to pause, reflect, and express gratitude for the blessings in our lives. Truly grateful people find little room in their hearts for bitterness or hate.
This Thanksgiving, let’s make gratitude a ritual that happens more than once a year. Let’s practice it daily. Start small: wake up each morning and say, “Thank you, God, for another day.” Some of us may have faced trials this year- losses, setbacks, or disappointments- but even in hard times, gratitude reminds us of our strength to endure and the hope for brighter days ahead.

A heart full of gratitude has no room for hate, envy, or division. Instead, it overflows with love, kindness, and generosity. May your Thanksgiving be filled with laughter, love, and a renewed appreciation for life’s blessings. Happy Thanksgiving, Monroe!
