Services for Beverly Roundtree Young, 72, of Monroe, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 24, 2025, at Smith Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, May 23, at McFarland Funeral Companies, located at 1901 Burg Jones Lane.
Mrs. Young passed away on May 14, 2025, at St. Francis Medical Center. Born June 29, 1952, in Monroe, Louisiana, she was the daughter of the late William and Knitted Made Roundtree.
A proud graduate of Carroll High School, Beverly spent her life dedicated to both her faith and her work. She was a faithful and active member of Greater Works Church International, where she worshipped until her health no longer allowed her to attend. She was employed at AutoZone, where she was known for her strong work ethic and kind spirit, remaining on the job until her passing.
Beverly will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Tarson Roundtree of Monroe, Louisiana; four grandchildren: Verareon Roundtree of Yarmouth, MA, Valancia Roundtree of Mashpee, MA, Christopher Roundtree of Hyannis, MA, and Quantaz Franklin (Jayme) of Yarmouth Port, MA; 14 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Her legacy of faith, strength, and devotion will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.
