The truth about the school shooting with Ouachita High School

On October 27, 2018, it was the normal day for me. I woke up around 5 a.m. to get ready for school and was ready by 6:30 a.m. and went outside to catch the bus. I had a normal day at school. My mom told me that we were going to get my temporary instructional permit after school at the DMV so I could take Driver’s Education. I got off the bus around 3:20 p.m. like I always did. I opened the house with my house key that I always kept in my purse. I fixed a bowl of cereal as soon as I got in the house. As I was fixing the cereal my mom told me to hurry up because I had band practice, had to go to the DMV, and she had to go back to work. Band practice didn’t start until 5:30 p.m. By 3:44 p.m. we were in the car on the way to the DMV. We arrived at the DMV in a rush around 3:50 p.m. The line was long, I had practice, and my mom had to go back to work. We left the DMV and she took me to school. I was early for practice.

I arrived at the school around 4:05 p.m. Since I was early the doors were locked and I couldn’t get in and I didn’t know if anyone was inside. So my mom and I sat outside in the parking lot by the band room waiting until 5:30 p.m. Around 4:30 p.m. I saw other band mates walking around and told my mom she could leave and I got out of the car and started walking with them.
