Brother Ibra January was the toastmaster for the event. Brother Rusty Potter delivered a heartfelt invocation and blessed the meal. Brother Ross Bethea greeted attendees and provided a historical synopsis of Kappa Alpha Psi, highlighting the fraternity’s commitment to achievement. Brother William Smart paid tribute to the founders, whose vision of brotherhood and community service remains relevant today.
Musical selections by Brother Larry Mason and Brother Andrew Hill, accompanied by Brother John Russell II. Brother Thomas Williams introduced the keynote speaker, Brother Aljay Foreman, the Southwestern Province Keeper of Records, whose address encouraged the audience to continue positively impacting the community.

Kappa League is a program for the educational, occupational, and social guidance of male students in grades 6th through 12th. Brother Jason Stewart commended these students for their outstanding achievement in maintaining the honor roll and their commitment to self-improvement. Brother Christopher Broussard presented the speaker with a gift of appreciation. The celebration concluded with the singing of the Kappa Alpha Psi Hymn.
The Monroe Alumni Chapter remains dedicated to uplifting the community through various initiatives, including mentorship programs, scholarships for college-bound students, reading to students at schools, turkey giveaways, Memorial Day Celebration at the Northeast Louisiana Veteran’s Home, Life Share Blood Drive, The Black History Parade, Sickle Cell Anemia Run/ Walk A Thon and Grace Place Clothes Giveaway.
The fraternity continues to exemplify the principles of service to the community and brotherhood, extending their positive influence and making a lasting impact on the well-being and education of Northeast Louisiana.. hosted its annual Founders Day Celebration at the Monroe Civics Center on January 4th. The event honored the fraternity’s legacy and celebrated the chapter’s ongoing work in the community.
