Van Price was officially installed as the Pastor of the New St. James Baptist Church on Sunday.
The installation sermon was preached by Pastor Theron Jackson of Shreveport.
Among the other ministers and dignitaries participating in the installation ceremonies were: Pastor King Dawson, words of wisdom; Pastor William Smith, charge to the pastor-elect; Pastor Ike Byrd, III, charge to the church; Pastor Van Brass, laying on of hands.
Special presentations were made by State Representative Katrina Jackson and Mayor Jamie Mayo.
Pastor Price had served as the assistant pastor of New St. James under Rev. William Armstrong, who stepped down. Rev. Armstrong was also among the ministers present Sunday.
