Monroe, La. (KNOE) – A Monroe, Louisiana native in the United States Navy is using the military’s latest gear in joint operations with the U.S. Marine Corps. Quartermaster Seaman Aaliyah Crow was part of a sea and anchor evolution during a training with the amphibious transport dock ship USS Arlington.
Crow is the daughter of Anthony Crow and the late Rokeida Crow, and the granddaughter of Dianne Murray.
Crow used an alidade to take a bearing of surface contact during the training on June 9, 2026. The joint operation training prepares the military to be a more flexible force on sea, land, and air.
The U.S. Navy has defended the nation around the globe for 250 years and is part of the America 250 celebration.
