Cornelius Smith, Sr., 63, of Monroe, La. died Dec. 5, 2018 at 11:20 p.m. at St. Francis Medical Center MICU. He was a depal operator for Coca-Cola Bottling Co. Service will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Logtown Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home of Monroe, LA.
He is survived by his wife Alice J. Smith of 42 years; one son, Cornelius (JoAnn) Smith, Jr.; one daughter, LaShonya J. (Christopher ) Wesley, Sr.; 14 grandchildren; two goddaughters, Sarah and Naoma Guillory of DeRidder, LA.; one sister Elesta Berry of Monroe; one brother, James (Angela) Smith; one brother-in-law Dallas (Stella) Edwards, Sr.; one godson, Johnny Ward; two sisters-in-law, Betty (Jessie) James of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Barbara Smith of Grambling, LA., and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
