God gave me keys to His Kingdom in nineteen seventy-six (Part 2)

By Dr. Jacquelyn Simmons

Scripture: When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am? And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets. He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven (Matthew 16:13-19).

My Friends, Praying that by now those of you who are not familiar with how skeleton keys look, have taken the time to know one to see it. They were very popular during my earlier “growing up years”. Everybody owned one because it fit all door locks. In fact, robberies were almost zero in our communities, sooooo we really did not need to lock our doors.

I guess that us why God gave me the keys to His kingdom, due to the fact that our entrances to His heaven is not based on race or color but on our acceptance of His Son, Jesus Christ who died on that old rugged cross for us. My! My!! My!!! What an unparalleled blessing to His humankind. “Praise God from whom all blessings flow!”

Upon arrival home, I immediately “grabbed the phone” and called several pastors whose ministries I respected to explain the vision after relaying it to them. I called my pastor, Rev. F.D. Nash, Dr. C.V. Rodgers, and Dr. Charles McGhee. At the beginning of the call, they explained it to me, as best they could; but, due my limited understanding, I did not get it. Soooo, I let it drift to the backburner of my mind…..However, God did not let it remain there.

A couple of years later, I began to see myself, after going to bed. standing in front of the members of the church in front of God’s pulpit reciting the systems of our bodies I had learned while attending Biology classes under the sincere guidance of Mrs. Deloney, science instructor at Grambling College (University)…

P.S. Preachers! Parents!! Christians!!! Are we going to sit idly by as we did the last time and let a FEW misguided people stop children from praying and respecting GOD’s presence in schools and in their lives again???
