Scripture: When Jesus came into the Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am? And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets. He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. And I say also unto thee, Thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven (Matthew 16: 13-19).
God instructed me to contact one of the black school board members and tell her to be SURE to have her car checked before leaving town, Monroe Louisiana, the city in which we both lived. She was surprised at being told that she needed to get it checked. However, being the kind, compassionate lady she was, she thanked me for God s message of caution. A few weeks later, she called and thanked me for delivering God s message of caution because the mechanic told her had she not had her car checked, she probably would have had a terrible car wreck due to much needed repairs. We praised God for her safe trip and return-something all of us should do before, during, and upon our safe returns, not only for us but for family members, acquaintances, friends, etc.
One morning, upon my arrival at the school where I was employed as a teacher, I was asked by one of the guidance counselors to pray with him for his pastor s six year old daughter. During that moment, her parents were enroute to take her to a doctor in Texas due to a cancer diagnosis. We held hands and prayed to God in Jesus Name for her healing. My friends, we should always end prayers with in Jesus Name.
The next morning, the guidance counselor met me as I entered the building and said, God has positively answered our prayers. Upon their arrival, it was determined that the minister s child was healed.
However, during that same time, my mother had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. I had great difficulty not to listen to evil voices, Why do you keep serving God who healed His pastor s daughter and refuses to heal your mother who is presently suffering, greatly? Why!!!!!!!!!!!!!
