My Dear Friends,
I greet you in the only name that matters, and that Name is Jesus Christ. Happy Thanksgiving Day! If you can read the title of this message and its contents, you must thank God. Because He has given you another day and opportunity to carry out your yearly desires to eat, fellowship, and serve your families on Thanksgiving Day, He must receive the highest Thanksgiving praise.
It is incumbent upon us to take note and acknowledge that “Everyday is a day of Thanksgiving.” Thank God for allowing us to see another Thanksgiving Day, but each day that God gives us is a time to celebrate and Thank God. There are those persons who have walked with us but are no longer with us. If you truly understand that your life “could have gone another way”, you owe God thanksgiving praises every day of your lives.
A song writer penned the song titled “Everyday is a day of thanksgiving.” He continued to declare that “God has been so good to me; everyday He’s blessing me; Everyday is a day of thanksgiving; Take the time to glorify the Lord today.” So, as you sit around your thanksgiving tables and bask in the food, family, and company that God gave you, know that He is a God of blessings every day.
He is the One and only God who can give eyes to see, legs to walk, and even a taste bud to taste the savory meal that the gifted chef or dietician prepared for Thanksgiving Day. Take the time to glorify the Lord everyday, because Everyday is a day of thanksgiving.
And the Word of God declared…
“Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful” (Colossian 3:15). “Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful” (Col. 42). “For everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, because it is consecrated by the word of God and prayer” (1 Tim. 4:4-5). “Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus” (1 Thess. 5:16-18). “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” (Phil. 4:6-7).
Everyday, regardless of lasting situations or problems, is a day of thanksgiving. Enjoy your families today and forever, my friends. But most importantly, enjoy the Lord.
God Bless you and your families!
