Temporary Road Closure – Desiard Street Improvements Phase II: Contact: Arthur Holland, Project Manager – City of Monroe 318-376.1346
Desiard Street at the intersections of North 3rd Street to South 6th Street is currently closed for Amethyst Construction to complete street overlay operations. All traffic will be directed to the City Parking Lot located between North 3rd Street and North 4th Street to provide access to our downtown businesses and traveling public. Amethyst Construction is working diligently to get Desiard Street enhanced and we appreciate our businesses and traveling public for your cooperation. This closure is expected to be in effect until November 1st (weather permitting). Traffic can detour at Harrison Street and Grammont Street or Washington Street heading east or west. Please plan your routes accordingly.
We understand that this may create a short-term inconvenience. The City of Monroe thanks you in advance for your patience while work is in process and reminds you to drive with caution while in the work area. Be advised that it is illegal to drive around barricades.
