Keith Sweat concert draws 1,500 for Delta Fest

The Delta Fest, which featured R&B Recording artist Keith Sweat, was held at the Monroe Civic Center Sunday night.

Sweat gave fans their money’s worth in a 90-minute show that rocked the house.
The 1,500 people who attended the concert enjoyed the show, but the promoters complained afterward of losing money. Even though the fans bought tickets that ranged from $39 to $89.00 the promoters did not break even.

Small audiences and too many empty seats contributed to their loss.

  The civic center seats 7,500.

The next event is scheduled for the Civic Center is WWE Live on June night. Two months later there is another event scheduled, “The 6th annual King of the South Car Show” on August 18th.
