Dear Hearts,
I greet you in the only name that matters. That name is Jesus Christ, our everlasting, eternal and endless Savior.
In Cynt Marshall’s book (one of my favorites), “You’ve Been Chosen: Thriving Through the Unexpected”, she portrayed the mere essence of moving forward with the tenacity to “not” give up. She documented her life’s struggles with emphasis on the desire to fight her diagnosed cancer and win. In her book documentary, she alluded to the fact that she had five miscarriages. According to the message noted in her book, she had a challenging life, but she never gave up. Even when the doctor wanted to throw up his hands and call it quits, she would not allow him to give up.
Interestingly, as she meandered through her journey, she became a servant of others. She organized ways to help others who were going through their radiation and chemotherapies to give them hope through Jesus while she was determined to complete her God-given task of recovery. Whatever God’s will was for her life, she purposed in her heart and mind to not “give up now”.
As a point of reference, at the conclusion of Paul’s third missionary journey, he was aware through the Holy Spirit that danger was ahead of him. However, he was compelled to finish his race. In other words, he would not give up now. His farewell discourse to the Ephesian Elders contained these words: “And now, compelled by the Spirit, I am going to Jerusalem, not knowing what will happen to me there. I only know that in every city the Holy Spirit warns me that prison and hardships are facing me. However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace” (Acts 20:21-23 NIV).
God has called us to the task of sharing the “Good News of God’s grace”. We cannot give up now. Challenges will come in our lives, people will disappoint or hurt us but do not give up the cause of sharing Jesus with others. Our only aim should be like Paul and that is to finish the task of “testifying to the Good News of God’s grace.” You cannot give up now!
When our friend, Cynt Marshall, shared her news with her mother, her mother said to her, “This is for His glory!” My encouragement to you is to press forward; you cannot give up now. Why not? Because it is for His glory.
I love you with the heart of Jesus Christ.
Jesus Saves!
