Forward

By Rusty Potter

In life, as in nature, forward is the only direction that guarantees growth and survival. Consider the shark, a powerful creature in the ocean. It’s well known that a shark must keep moving forward to breathe and stay alive. If a shark were to stop swimming or attempt to move backward, it would be unable to breathe and could suffocate. Moving forward is an important metaphor for our lives: stagnation and retreat are not options if we want to thrive.

Just as the shark must continue to swim forward to survive, we too must keep moving, learning, and growing. We must learn something new every day. Life does not offer the luxury of rewinding or standing still. Each day presents new challenges and opportunities that require us to advance, no matter how bad the journey may seem.

Moving forward doesn’t mean we forget our past. It means we learn from it. Whether you’re pursuing a personal goal, or striving for self-improvement, the path ahead is where your focus must remain. The past is a place of reflection, but the future is a place of endless possibilities.

So readers, take a deep breath, set your sights on your goals, and keep moving forward. Just like the shark, your survival and success depends on it. Forward is not a direction; it’s a way of life.
