We are moving into a new season. We turned our clocks back in the fall, but in the springtime, we are ready to spring forward. We also must spring forward in our thinking and our actions. We are all ready to enjoy some new things in life.
The windshield in a car is much bigger than the rearview mirror. You can’t successfully drive the car forward by looking in the rearview mirror. We must remember our future is bigger than our past. We can’t change our past, but we can change our future. Every setback is preparing you for a spring forward. Dr. Martin Luther King said, “ If you can’t fly then run. If you can’t run then walk. If you can’t walk then crawl. But whatever you do. You have to keep moving forward.” The opportunities are in front of us. Some of these opportunities we will have to create for ourselves this year. Mark Twain said, The man who does not read, has no advantage over the man who can’t read.” It’s time to spruce up our thinking and spring forward.
