Members of the NAACP will conduct elections next month, and there are three candidates for local president.
According to national NAACP rules, officers are elected every two years.
Qualifications for president of the local chapter closed Monday and include three candidates for president: Rev. Ambrose Douzart, president; Mrs. Marie Brown, and Rev. Thadius Bishop.
NAACP members will select their new officers in elections conducted by the National NAACP next month.
