The Ouachita Parish School System is participating in the Summer Food Service Program. Meals will be provided to all children 18 years of age without a charge. A person of 19 years of age or older who has a mental or physical disability and who participates during the school year in a public or private non-profit school program will be eligible to receive meals also. Acceptance and participating requirements for the program and all activities are the same for all regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability, and there will be no discrimination in the course of the meal service.
Parents will pick up meals in a Grab & Go type meal service. No meals will be provided inside the school cafeteria. Parents will receive a lunch for that day and a breakfast for the next morning. On Thursdays, they will receive a breakfast and a lunch for Friday.
Parents may pick up meals with or without all of their children in the car, but they will be asked to complete a form with information of who is receiving the meals and also provide contact information. See www.opsb.net for additional information.
