Funeral services are set for Saturday for a well know churchman and retired truck driver.
Services for Elijah Whitfield will be held Saturday, May 22nd, at Green Grove Baptist Church in Alto, La. The services are scheduled for 2 p.m. in the care of McFarland Funeral Home.

Elijah James Whitfield was born February 14, 1945, in Monroe, Louisiana, to Moses and Mamie Whitfield. He accepted Christ at an early age. He was a member of Green Grove and Beth Eden Baptist Church. He was a retired truck driver.
