Services held for educator Walter Rush

Funeral services for a veteran educator and mathematician were held Wednesday.

Services for Walter Ceasar Rush were held Wednesday, May 19th at the Bethel Church of God in Christ in Monroe.

Rush was a 37-year veteran educator in the Monroe City Schools and the Good Pine High School.

In his eulogy entitle “Living a life that counts”, Roosevelt Wright, Jr., said Rush was the consummate educator who was willing to help students before and after school to help them understand the principles of mathematics. He said his life…
