Shemonya Lavell Robinson Allen was born on July 29, 1968 to the late Lamar B. Young of Crowville, Louisiana; and Edith R. Robinson of Fort Necessity, Louisiana. She departed her life on Friday, October 2, 2020 in the Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans, Louisiana.
She was a member of Cathedral of Love and Faith under the leadership of Pastor Douglas O’Neal, where she remained a devoted member until her death.
Shemonya graduated from Winnsboro High School in 1986. She attended Louisiana Technical Community College in Computer Technology and earned her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education at Grand Canyon University.
She was a sweet, loving, and caring person. She loved teaching and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her husband, Harry S. Allen of Winnsboro, Louisiana; her mother, Edith R. Robinson of Winnsboro, Louisiana; two daughters, Shequiya Robinson and Kameeceia Robinson (Kelvin Johnson), both of Winnsboro, Louisiana; one son, Eric Robinson (Rosa Alexander) of Winnsboro, Louisiana; three brothers, Turner Ross and Henry Robinson, both of Winnsboro, Louisiana; and Leonard Robinson (Jacqueline) of Houston, Texas; one sister, Nobie Robinson-Wood (Kenny) of Monroe, Louisiana; seven step-children, eight grandchildren, three aunts, three uncles, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and church family and friends.
