March 1, 1939, a handsome baby boy was born to the late Abe Horne Sr And Emma G Horne in Rhymes la. They named him William Augustus Horne. William grew up in Rhymes and attended Rhymes Elem and graduated from Rhymes HS. William was baptized at an early age by Rev Blunt.
During his childhood, he and his siblings had playtime consisting of fishing and William became fascinated with the sport of fishing. William, according to his sister Francis playing church was also one of their play times together, and guess who was the PREACHER!!!! Therefore he gained the nickname Preacher.
