There shall not be found among you anyone that maketh his son or daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination (an attempt to learn about the future by observing omens in nature or consulting super natural sources),or an observer of times, or an enchanter (any occult or magic practices intended to influence events or the false gods by casting spells),or a witch, or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard(a sorcerer or magician),or a necromancer (the practice of communicating with the spirits of the dead in order to predict the future). For all these things are an abomination unto the Lord…Deuteronomy 18:9-14)
In biblical times God appointed watchmen to announce his judgements upon Israel, other nations and to fore tell his eventual salvation for his people. Among the more prominent prophets were Isaiah, Jeremiah and Ezekiel. In each of the aforementioned ministries, God’s prophets continuously preached upcoming gloom and doom as it is today, nobody listened. Over the years, this child of God has been labeled the gloom and dooms prophet and held up by some, to ridicule and scorn.
But God…
All of my adult life, I’ve heard it bragged that Monroe is in a bowl and so deeply embedded downward, until storms will always strike around it but never actually wrought the havoc we witness by news media occurring in other places. Well, here of late, it appears that Monroe has either shifted its position or the braggarts were fabulists. My friends God has proven over and over again that since he spoke all weather patterns into existence during the creation, he can and will continue to control their behaviors according to his will.
Before Labor Day celebrations began, merchants had begun to bombard potential customers with the sales of Halloween candies, costumes, pumpkins, witches, and other God forbidden paraphernalia. In fact, it is more than a 5.4 billion dollar merchandizing bonanza. America, Louisiana, Ouachita Parish, Monroe beware!!! Is anybody listening? God hates Halloween!!!
