Jesus cares for you and your families

By Lisa Wilmore

…When Jesus heard of it, he departed thence by ship into a desert place apart: and when the people had heard thereof, they followed him on foot out of the cities. And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion toward them, and he healed their sick. And when it was evening, his disciples came to him, saying, This is a desert place, and the time is now past; send the multitude away, that they may go into the villages, and buy themselves victuals. But Jesus said unto them, They need not depart; give ye them to eat… (Matthew 14:13-16 KJV).
Dear Hearts,

Has it ever been a time in your life when you did not think that any one cared about you? Have you ever thought that your life was meaningless because you were unable to obtain true friends who would be there when you really needed someone? If so, the message for you today and forevermore is, “Jesus cares for you and your families.” In fact, He is the source of all good things in your life.
The aforementioned scriptures reveal that He is always where you can follow Him. He does not hide from you; instead, He waits for you to come to Him for rest, love, healing and peace. He tells us in His Word, “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28).

Additionally, the text discloses the compassion that Jesus has on a multitude of followers and their sick. After His disciples shared with Him that John the Baptist was beheaded by King Herod, Jesus privately goes to a solitary place, followed by a curious crowd. Matthew records, “…Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion toward them, and he healed their sick” (KJV). When we need Jesus, He is always there. Instead of remaining in grief, Jesus continued His ministry, which the LORD God sent Him to do. Yes! He truly cares for you and your families.
Further, in scripture, Jesus feeds five thousand men and more after He blessed five fish and two barley loaves of bread, which was multiplied for the multitude (Matthew 14:15-21). First, He heals their sick and then feeds a multitude of people. His actions truly reveal that He cares for individuals and their families.

Fascinatingly, Jesus will do the same for us during our times of struggles. He has done it in the past, and He will do it, now.

He truly cares for you and your families.
