Mark Twain said, “Kindness is a language which the deaf can hear and the blind can see.” Be a man or woman who makes a difference in the lives of others. People will see you as a difference-maker. We rise by lifting others.
Surround yourself with people who are going to lift you higher in life. They should encourage you to move to a higher level in life. Proverbs 13:20 says, “He that walketh with wise men shall be wise.” If you want to learn a new task, find friends that have mastered the same task. Surround yourself with people that you can learn something constructive from, be a student of those who has succeeded before you.
Your friends should have the ability to help you to accomplish your goals and dreams in life. Great people make you feel that you too can be great. Make a conscious effort to surround yourself with positive uplifting people. Bill Gates said, “ The fastest way to change yourself is to hang out with people who are already the way you want to be.” We should have friends that make us better. Speak words that make others feel like somebody. Remember, who you spend your time with is who you become.
