My Friends, at eighty-seven plus years of age, this servant of God has been blessed to witness many changes wrought in this, his world. Among them are computers which are rapidly replacing human beings in almost every aspect of our lives. It is almost frightening to note how people carry cell phones around in their hands as if they are a rare Jewel. Without them, they are completely lost and go into a panic mode if they are not quickly retrieved or accounted for.
Very rarely can one see a group of people on an outing conversing with one another. Instead, everyone is lost in the world of their cell phones and are not aware of what is taking place around them. I’ve seen couples sitting across from one another in restaurants and each of them was lost in their cell phone world.
My friends, this writer, by God’s grace and mercy has noticed that his world’s almost complete dependency on computers is not pleasing to him as noted in our text for this message. Today, his people ask directions and questions of computers and act according to what they are told, instead of asking him. That has opened the door for unseen evil forces to supply his people with the wrong information which may lead not only to their total destruction, but that of others, also, including children. Beware! Children who do not know any better are being guided in the wrong direction due to their parents not being aware of what they are seeing and being told. In many instances, they find out too late.
This writer often has fights with the cell phone. A statement is typed and to my annoyance, words have been added or deleted which completely change meanings of the messages and their intent. Trying to maneuver a change is very, very difficult, even if it does not win the battle. Purposely, it calls people not dialed by me and delivers messages to others not sent. For example,
I have a christian relative whose texts were delivered not as sent, but as pornography. In addition, a christian friend of mine opened her phone to a huge pornographic display which was negatively exposing things that were not God-like. A married couple’s conversations to each other was consistently sent to an additional party who was not suppose to be privy to their conversation. Embarrassing and frightening!
Please listen: God is becoming very, very angry because many of his people are worshiping computers and he will eventually give them completely over to them. For example colon: have you experienced frustrating difficulties while trying to speak to a live person in authority at a company concerning a problem and had to struggle through a mass of computerized voices instead?
Did you finally, in frustration, abandoned the idea? Well, the situation with computers is going to worsen. They will eventually determine all human activity. Disobedience will result in death or punishment beyond human endurance.
Pray! God’s world is becoming more sinful and its downward spiral will escalate and so will his anger.
