Zeta Phi Omega’s Pink Goes Red Cardio Dance Workout

Friday, February 7th was Pink Goes Red Day for Heart Health. Zeta Phi Omega members substituted their pink for red and executed a fun-filled and engaging event in an effort to bring awareness to the devastating effects of heart disease in communities. Zeta Phi Omega held a Cardio Dance Workout at New Vision Learning Academy in Monroe, LA. Zeta Phi Omega members did a great job publicizing the free event amongst friends and family. The gym was full of sorority members and community supporters. Miss Monroe, Kennedy Woods and Miss Monroe Fleur de Lis Princess, Jordyn King were also present. The attendees “danced their hearts out” under the instruction of fitness trainer, Alanna Williams. She led the group through multiple workouts, which was a stimulating way for attendees to get their heart rates up and meet their daily step goals. It was a high energy event. All attendees received information about heart disease prevention and several were selected to receive a door prize. Alicia Rollins served as the chairman for the event and Colandra P. Smith is the Chapter President.
