A 27-year-old woman is currently in intensive care at LSU Shreveport after being shot twice on DeSiard Street in Monroe, Louisiana, early Monday morning.
The victim, who wishes to remain anonymous, told the Free Press Wednesday that she and her friends had initially attended a block party on Winnsboro Road but decided to go to a club on DeSiard Street after a fight broke out at the party, causing the police to shut down the event.
According to the victim, she and her friends left the block party en route to a downtown club.
