Scripture: …Then Nathan said to David, “You are the man!” This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: ‘I anointed you king of Israel, and I delivered you from the hand of Saul. I gave your master’s house to you and your master’s wives into your arms. I gave you all Israel and Judah. And if all this had been too little, I would have given you even more. Why did you despise the word of the Lord by doing evil in his eyes?’ (2 Samuel 12:7b-9).
My Christian Friends,
Is God’s “All” enough for you? Our Father, who is in Heaven, is the provider for everything we need. He is our daily source supplier, and He will give to those who ask. Particularly, He holds the key to our eternal life, which came through His Son, Jesus Christ. He has given us “All” that He has but still individuals find themselves wanting more because God’s “All is not enough.
As a point of Biblical reference, David, as mentioned in our aforementioned text had been blessed tremendously by God. In Fact, God anointed him king of Israel and gave him his master’s house (Saul’ house) and wives. In addition, He gave him all of Israel and Judah and would have given him more.
Therefore, David had it all; however, God’s all was not enough. David saw Uriah’s wife, Bathsheba, while resting in his palace and committed a sin with her. As a result of his sin, Nathan the prophet told him that God said,… “The sword will never depart from your house, because you despised me and took Uriah, the Hittite’s wife, to be your own (2 Samuel 12:10 NIV).
Like David, many may suffer from wanting more yet do not realize that God has given His “All”-His Son, Jesus Christ.
Billionaires and millionaires, we may think, have it all. Nevertheless, it is never enough. Jesus is everything that we need; however, many chase after things and people in order to obtain a temporary fix for their emptiness’s and do not realize that everything we need is in our Savior. He is our breath, our, life, our hope, our courage, our joy, our redeemer, etc. Jesus is everything and “All” that we need.
If you have not accepted God’s “All” today, what are you waiting on? Time is running out! When you think you have all, and that is not enough, try God’s “All”-Jesus Christ. You will never be the same.
