My Brothers and Sister in Christ,
I greet you in the only name that matters, and that Name is Jesus the Christ! I present to you the joy in my heart for a Savior who alone deserves to be worshipped.
Because God is the creator and sustainer of everything, all beings in heaven and earth must worship Him for who He is and what He has done. Interestingly, there are persons who seek false worship for themselves as if they were created to be worshipped. Instead of understanding and realizing that we were created to worship the Almighty God, individuals have established themselves in a manner that others should worship them. Isiah reminds us in Scripture that, “This people have I formed for myself; they shall shew forth my praise.” (43:21 KJV). God created us to worship Him; not to be worshipped.
What happens when individuals seek to be worshipped as if they have been deemed the most important creature on God’s earth? Have you encountered those persons who truly believe that they are the ones who deserve a “red carpet” rolled out? As Christin believers in Jesus Christ, we must never present ourselves as one who deserves to be honored and worshipped. Sadly, there are those who believe that they must receive adoration and accolades to authenticate their role or position that is held in this God-given world. Their desire and need to be lifted causes them to seek false worship.
So, what happens when individuals seek to be worshipped? Primarily, they dispel who God is and what His Holy Word, the Bible declares. Luke, the writer, pointed out that, “The tempter led Jesus up to a high place and showed him in an instant all the kingdoms of the world. He said to him, “I will give you all their authority and splendor; it has been given to me, and I can give it to anyone I want to. If you worship me, it will all be yours.” Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God and serve him only.’ (Luke 4 NIV). The tempter sought to be worshipped but was reminded that only the Lord our God must be worshipped. Nothing or no one should take the place of our worship for God.
It has been noted and stated that as Christians, we must always walk in humility. As we walk in humility, this gives room for individuals to see the Christ that lives inside of us, who is the One who should and must be worshipped, honored, and praised. So, we must dispel the notion to seek for false worship. True and authentic worship belongs to God and God alone.
