My Sisters and Brothers in Christ, pray with me.
“Father, someone needs to know that there is still room at the cross in which Your Son, Jesus, carried and died on for the sins of the world. At the cross is where many received their sight. Their eyes were opened, and hearts were changed because of Your love and sacrificial offering of Your Son. We ask that those who are lost will come into the knowledge of what Jesus did for us and accept Him as their Savior. As you give individuals the ability to pen or speak Your given messages, please touch the hearts of unbelievers to readily accept Your truth knowing that “‘There is still room for one’”.
Recently, I was driving in a particular area, and there sat an individual who was unclean and appeared to have consumed some type of substance that had him acting irrationally-in a manner that was abnormal. I was traveling with others and one of the individuals in the car made a statement that was not pleasant. Of course, the statement bothered me, and I had to remind the individual that if it had not been for God, we could be in the same situation. I shared with them that no matter how low an individual gets, God can pick them up. In fact, God sent Jesus for the world, not just for you and me.
It is essential that we understand that the same grace God extended to us, in like manner, is extended to others. There is no individual who is a lost cause.
Particularly, John 3:16 reminds us that “God so love the WORLD that He gave His only begotten Son. Whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.” We must hang our hats on the belief that if the world accepts His Son, Jesus as their Savior, the world will be saved. “There is still room for one.”
Ira F. Stanphill penned (1946), “The cross upon which Jesus died, is a shelter in which we can hide; and its grace so free is sufficient for me; and deep is its fountain as wide as the sea. There’s room at the cross for you; There’s room at the cross for you. Though millions have come, there’s still room for one. Yes, there’s room at the cross for you. Though millions have found him a friend, and have turned from the sins they have sinned; the Savior still waits to open the gates, and welcome a sinner before it’s too late…”
So, when we see individuals which we think there is no hope, we must think about what He did for us. “Although millions have come, there is still room for one.”
