When they walk in the local Sam’s Club on Frontage Road members show their cards, when they walk out they show their receipts, however Saturday night a local man tried to walk out without a receipt for the computer in his backpack and walked into a Ouachita Parish jail cell.
Police arrested Hunter S. Walker, 21, of 103 Wesley Street in Monroe, on charges of shoplifting from the local Sam’s Club.
According to the official report police officers came to the store and AMR was giving medical aide to Walker. Even as the aide was given the store manager identified him as a suspect who stole a $899 Dell computer and tried to leave the store with it in his backpack.
Walker admitted stealing the computer and was booked.
