We often hear the term “working across the aisle.” Do we actually know what it means? It normally refers to members of one party cooperating with members of the other party to achieve a common goal. In the US Congress, progress is made, and Americans are winners when this occurs. Otherwise, those bills, which are voted for or against by Democrats and Republicans along party lines, are normally not successful. In fact, it tends to create chaos for our country, which is happening today.
Ironically, this also applies to organizations and clubs as well. However, it is not necessarily regarding political parties. It could be about race, religion, economics, or education, just to name a few. Our country, state, and local community could be so much stronger if we all can learn to work together and when there is disagreement, not be disagreeable. Unfortunately, the hunger for Power is driving decisions, and it is starting to tear our country and communities apart.
We can do great things when we work together! Strong leadership is always at the forefront of success. No one person has all the ideas. Let’s prepare ourselves for some good things that we can be proud of. When that happens, We can continue to Love where we Live and Live where we Love
