The Monroe-Ouachita Branch of the NAACP held it’s 2025 annual high school scholarship award presentation during its August21, 2025 Executive Committee Meeting held at Emily P. Robinson Recreation Center in Monroe, LA.
Four high school students accompanied by their parents were recognized. Travis Moore Jr. (Carroll) Damian Armstrong (Neville), Sanese Presley (Richwood) and Brandon Augustine (Wossman). Each student received a $500. scholarship to aid in their desire to continue their educational goals.
Branch President Cliff Thomas stated we are very proud to honor these students by being a partner in helping them to achieve their education. We plan to make these scholarships an annual part of branch activities.
