Scripture: There be four things which are little upon the earth, but they are exceeding wise: The ants are a people not strong, yet they prepare their meat in the summer. The conies are but feeble folk, yet make they their houses in the rocks; The locusts have no king, yet go they forth all of them by bands; The spider taketh hold with her hands, and is in kings’ palaces. (Proverbs 30:24-28).
My Dear Dear Friends, many of God’s lessons this child of His has learned, has been from watching or listening to others relate lessons learned from watching the activities of some of His smallest creations.
One of my favorites and classified as awesome, occurred while I was sitting in a relative’s car outside her home, awaiting her return as our driver.
Behind and over her home, God has blessed her and her neighbors with a huge array of unbelievably tall trees. I do not know what kind of trees, but they are tall, tall, tall!!! It was a beautiful day and God’s sky was a beautiful blue with His beautiful display of a very few white billowy clouds.
However, God was not “through” with me yet. Located on and among His trees was an array of more black birds that we, as humans, could not count. They were innumerable, still and very, very, very quiet. Everything on earth appeared to be quiet and still, including me. It appeared that God’s birds were having a meeting. There were about ten or twelve birds positioned in front of the entire aggregation which were quietly looking and listening intently to what was being said to them. And of course, my being human, I tried understand what was being said, also. But God…
My friends, it appeared as if one of God’s birds poised out front of the bird’s congregation, was delivering a message which commanded everyone’s attention. But, a few birds on the right side of the congregation appeared to become unruly and stepped a small distance out of their assigned positions.
Amazingly, a few birds located near the speaker which appeared to be guards, rushed over and reprimanded the guilty culprits who quickly and quietly returned to their previously assigned positions and God’s black birds meeting continued without further disruptive incident. This child of God, and you are His children also, feels that He wants us to discontinue devoting soooo much of our attentive attentions to His other creations such as cell phones, televisions, tablets, etc., and not only commune with Him but watch His handiwork we never notice.
If we would do so, we would be blessed with many of His innumerable unexpected blessings, also.
Love,
Jacquelyn Simmons
