Mom questions late-night hours, daughter punches her in the face

On October 14, 2020, a Monroe Police officer was dispatched to 1702 S. 6th Street in reference to a battery.

According to the report, the victim advised that her daughter, Tiffany Holden, battered her. The victim advised she confronted her daughter for being up all hours of the night and they got into an argument. The victim said Holden then attacked her and hit her in the face with a closed fist punch. The victim said that Holden also pushed her down on a bed and took her phone to try and prevent her from calling 911.

According to the report, the officer saw visible injury to the victim’s lower cheek. The report says Holden left the scene headed South on 6th Street where Holden was located. Holden advised she never hit her mother and instead said that her mother hit her over the head with her walking cane. According to the report, the officer saw no visible injuries on Holden.
