Man sleeps in stolen vehicle, puzzled how he got there, booked

When the West Monroe Police Department noticed a man sitting in a truck sleep, they did a routine check of the plates and it turned out that the truck was stolen.

When they woke up Johnathan Christopher Boyer, he was surprised.
He said he did not know how he came in possession of the stolen vehicle.

When he was arrested at 212 Crosley Street in West Monroe, he was sitting in the driver’s seat with the keys in the ignition, according to police records.

He was booked and charged with illegal possession of stolen property, a felony, and taken to the Ouachita Correctional Institute.
