Man gets job, threatens to shoot boss two hours later

Less than two hours after Xavier Nigel Preston was hired to work at a West Monroe company he found himself in jail.

Preston, 27, was hired at a West Monroe company located in the 500 block of Downing Pine Road on Tuesday, July 28th.

He was hired at 1:00 p.m. but by 2:56 police were on the job site arresting him for threatening to shoot both his new boss and co-worker assigned to train him.

The police report notes that Preston threatened to shoot the co-worker and his boss because they were talking about him.
Police say they found Preston at his work station. Police did not find a firearm, but the report states that Preston admitted to having a pistol and pointing it at the co-worker. Police say Preston would not tell them where he hid the gun.

Preston was booked into the Ouachita Correctional Center on charges of terrorizing and aggravated assault.
