Man booked for strangling girlfriend

 A man who reportedly tried to strangle his girlfriend and threatened to kill her was arrested Monday by the West Monroe Police Department.

 Police arrested Dominek Montez Sutton, of 812 N. 7th Street in West Monroe Monday on charges of domestic abuse battery by strangulation.

 According to the official report Sutton allegedly committed domestic battery when he hit his live-in girlfriend in the left side of the face with his fist. Officers observed bruises on her face when they arrived. 

  The victim told police that Sutton attempted to strangle her while threatening to kill her.
