A man has been jailed after he reportedly attacked his baby’s mother, bit her, and told her that he would make her his slave.
Police arrested Jalen Richardson on August 30 and charged him with: Domestic Abuse, by strangulation and child endangerment; Possessing a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of a person under 17, possession of a firearm, possession of drug paraphernalia and two counts of possession with the intent to distribute of a controlled dangerous substance.
According to the police report police officers were dispatched to 1615 Wellerman Road #508 when a mother claimed that her daughter sent a message from an app that stated “Help.”
The mother complained that her daughter and her live-in boyfriend Jalen Richardson had been fighting all day. “We arrived and located the victim and her one-month-old child, standing in the parking lot. The victim was visibly upset and I could see red marks and bite marks on her face and neck.
She stated that Richardson was the father of her child and they have lived together for two years. She stated that Richardson got mad at her, complaining that the house was not clean. She stated that she was holding the baby when Richardson grabbed her by the throat and squeezed tightly and put his other hand over her mouth making it hard for her to breathe.
She said Richardson then grabbed her by the back of the neck and forced her to the floor while she was still holding the baby. She said Richardson told her “I’m going to make you my slave, and then she heard him get his pistol and rack the slide, while he was forcing her head down with baby.
She said she thought he was going to kill her. The victim stated he then forced her down on the bed and got on top of her and bit her on her head. The victim stated this went on for several hours and he would not let her use the phone or leave. She stated she was scared that he would shoot her and the baby if she tried to leave.
The victim stated she was able to get the tablet and hide in the bathroom. She said she sent a message to her mother and said “Help.” She said Richardson found her in the bathroom with the tablet and he grabbed her and pushed her around, hitting the walls. She said she managed to grab the child and ran out of the apartment to safety.”
“He calmly stated, “we just had an argument, nothing happened.” He then admitted that he did grab her by the neck and pushed her, but nothing else. He granted consent to search the apartment where we located a loaded pistol, large quantity of marijuana and ecstasy pillls, scales, pipes and baggies.
