Two Morehouse Sheriff’s Deputies and the Sheriff’s Department must may over $300,000 to the mother of youth killed in a bungled drug sting!
Fourth District Judge ruled last week that two Morehouse Parish Deputies were negligent when they killed David Taylor in 1997. After a trial, held in March of this year, Jones ordered the deputies to pay Taylor’s mother the money, which he said appeared reasonable.
Evelyn Taylor Harris, Taylor’s mother asked the court to hold the Morehouse Parish Sheriff’s Department liable for hiring a deputy who failed to follow acceptable police rules regarding use of deadly force
