Monroe police had their hands full last week when they answered a complaint that a man had a gun in a local store but didn’t shoot. The police apprehended the man, but he escaped. They caught him again, and he bashed his head on the police car window and reached for the officer’s weapons.
When the dust settled, Monroe police arrested Javarius Jackson of 1200 McCall Street on multiple charges last week in the aftermath of an incident on March 27th at the Quick & Easy No. 2 convenience store on Winnsboro Road.
A witness told officers that Jackson pointed a gun at the victim and threatened to shoot him.
