Homegoing service for George “Duck” Allen, Jr. was held Saturday, July 31, 2021, at Richwood Memorial Gardens, Richwood, LA. Pastor Kenneth Nolley Sr. Officiant. He received his wings on July 26, 2021. George “Duck” Allen Jr. was born December 15, 1946, in Monroe, LA. to George Allen Sr. and Ozellar Kilgore Allen. He was a member of St. Mary Missionary Baptist Church. He attended Little Flower and Carroll High Schools. He retired from IMC in Sterlington, Louisiana. Now known as Angus Chemical Plant. He was a lovable person who made many friends easily and was known by many. He loved music and dancing.
He was preceded in death by his parents George Allen Sr. and Ozellar Kilgore Allen his wife Bernadine Allen, 3 sisters Georgia A. Sherman, Reta A. Smith, Dorothy A. Johnson, 3 brothers Edward Allen, John Henry Allen, and Samuel Scates. His memories will forever be cherished by his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sisters, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. He will forever be missed. Services were entrusted to Smith Funeral Home.
