Graveside services will be held Thursday for a well-known churchwoman and mother.
Services for Lanore Williams will be held Thursday at the Richwood Memorial Gardens at 11 a.m. The graveside services will be for family members only. The graveside service will be streamed live on the New Tabernacle Baptist Church FaceBook page.
Williams, originally from Charlotte, S.C., was an army veteran, who moved to Monroe after marriage.
She was a former personnel director at Sears and served as the school secretary at Excellence Academy.
She was a member of New Tabernacle Baptist Church.
She leaves to celebrate her life, her mother Delores Holmes; her children: Michelle Atkins, (Dennis), Maurice Williams, Jere Williams, Jasmine Williams, Amber Williams; her siblings: Clarence (Queen) Manigualt of Adam’s Run, S.C. Vera (John)Edwards of McDonough, GA, Wade
(Crystal) Holmes of Orangeburg, SC, John (Sabrina) of LaPlace, LA, Jerome (Mico) Holmes of Hanahan, SC, and Althea (Brian) Holmes of Adams Run, SC: Aunts: Willie Mae (Charles) Bright of Jacksonboro: an Uncle Charles Holmes of Walterboro, SC.; an Aunt, Pearl Singleton of Adam’s
